Bare-Metal Cloud, like Thor ⚡, wielded the mighty Mjölnir, granting it unparalleled power and control. This superhero gave users full access to a single-tenant, non-virtualized machine, delivering maximum performance with no overhead. Its secret weapon? Specialized hardware that didn’t exist in Public Cloud’s world. Bare-Metal Cloud’s alter ego, Equinix Metal, offered bare metal as-a-service (BMaaS), even in edge locations worldwide 🌍.
On the other side, Public Cloud resembled Iron Man 🦾, a tech-savvy genius with an arsenal of tools and resources. Public Cloud’s users shared virtualized servers, enjoying the perks of elasticity, multiple geographical locations, and somebody else maintaining the cloud. However, it lacked the raw power of Bare-Metal Cloud.
